Assistant Designer (Mens)5 days onsite NYCSalary: 55-70k DOE
Our client is seeking an Assistant Designer to work on an existing team designing Men's knits primarily tops and bottoms. The ideal candidate will be able to sketch, create tech packs, and organize samples.
Assistant Designer Responsibilities:• Maintains and organized design space (samples, files, visual CADs, etc.)• Assists in ensuring that product is consistent with market trends as well as business strategy.• Responsible for trend research and inspiration.• Responsible for illustrator sketches, fit comments and final product execution including tech packs• Partners with merchandising and product development team for approval of sales samplesto ensure garment is production-ready.
Assistant Designer Skills• Working Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, PLM for tech packs• Ability to learn new computer technology• Strong research, design, and conceptual skills• Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment• Excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to work under tighttimelines while managing multiple priorities• Strong sense of color and taste level• Ability to work well with multiple team members• Sense of accountability and strong work ethic• Punctuality & dependable attendance• 0-2 years of design experience
