Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Property Tax Accountant to that wants to work in a growing global company! The role of the Property Tax Accountant at Pacific Rim Capital is to provide excellent service to all key stakeholders, automate routine processes to streamline tasks and minimize risk of human error, and meet all the property tax related deadlines for annual returns, bills and audits.

Key Responsibilities

Filing of annual business personal property tax returns for all leased equipment locations in the united states (39 states)Review all 'assessed value notices' received from all billing jurisdictions for reasonableness prior to receiving actual bills from tax collectorsCommunicate with tax officials and lessors when necessary to clarify and address tax related issuesPayment of property tax bills receivedLessee property tax invoicingHandle all lessee invoicing disputes and/or questionsRespond to and answer all assessor-collector email/phone questionsHandle all property tax audits providing them with information and materials requestedAssist account managers and collections with property tax invoice questions from the clientProvide property tax estimates upon requestAttend all necessary training required to keep current in the property tax field to remain compliantAttend all necessary software training conferences required to keep current with the most recent upgrade and modificationsTo continue to seek best practices and ways to automate manual processes wherever possibleContinually document systems and process changes that relate to the position of property tax accountantRequirements

Strong analytical skillsGood business acumen in written and verbal communicationSelf-motivated and works well independently but collaborates with others when neededGreat organizational and follow-up skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within deadlines through prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environmentA track record of building and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally with customers and vendors4-year degree or equivalent experience required5 plus years' experience in Tax Accounting requiredStrong Microsoft Office Word and Excel proficiencyExperience in Tax Software, PTMS/TCI software experience is a plusCompensation and Benefits
