Job Summary
This position is responsible for the local flatbed delivery of products sold to customers. In some instances, the drivers may be required to make pick-ups as needed. Current CDL Class A with doubles endorsement and clean MVR are required. Monday to Friday operation with weekends off.
Job Responsibilities
Transport bagged concrete products, block, mortar and any/all other materials to customer location and/or job site in a safe mannerLoading of the truck to ensure proper product order is filled and weight distribution is correctMaintain complete and accurate records such as driver's daily log truck log (Motive ELD), fuel tickets, delivery documentation, and any other required documents according to company, state, and federal regulationsInspect truck and trailer(s). Perform daily pre and post trip inspections as required by DOT, CSA, and FMCSA regulations and guidelinesProperly secure loads as per standard industry practices as well as DOT, CSA, and FMCSA regulations and guidelinesOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededJob Requirements
High school diploma / equivalentCurrent CDL Class A with doubles endorsement and clean MVR are requiredAt least 2 years of verifiable flatbed experience-doubles experience is a plusPrior forklift experience is a must as drivers may be loading their own trucksCurrent DOT Medical Examiners CertificateAbility to lift or move up to 100 lbs with assistanceBilingual in English and Spanish PreferredDependable regular attendance is an essential requirement of the jobFlexibility in hours of availability to work as we are subject to seasonal delivery demandsComply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all timesAct in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customersStrong knowledge of the local areas and commercial delivery routesKeep truck, and all associated equipment, clean and in good working orderCompensation
