About the position
We are seeking full-time, part-time or relief Veterinarians to grow our Urgent Care team at The Animal Hospital of Linden, located in the heart of Linden, New Jersey. The incoming Veterinarians will have the freedom to create their own schedule, will only see non-life-threatening cases, and our urgent care shifts start at just 6 hours in length! Plus, CareVet Veterinarians receive industry-leading benefits that ensure work/life balance and premium pay for relief shifts / part-time shifts. Full-time benefits start at 30 hours / week.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problemsTreat and dress woundsPerform surgery on animalsTest for and vaccinate against diseasesOperate medical equipment, such as x-ray machinesAdvise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatmentsPrescribe medicationWork closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality careQualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree requiredLicensure in the state/s candidate will be workingAbility to show compassion to both pets and their ownersOutstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasksAbility to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animalStrong fondness and understanding of animalsGood communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of animal behaviorAbility to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
