Position Summary
The Architectural and Interior Designer plays a vital role in creating functional, aesthetically appealing, and structurally sound base plans for homes in large-scale developments. This position involves designing and refining floor plans, elevations, and interior spaces to meet business needs, brand standards, and market trends. The designer collaborates closely with architects, engineers, construction teams, and project managers to ensure that design elements align with construction requirements, cost-efficiency, and building codes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Architectural Design:Develop comprehensive architectural designs for residential projects, including single-family residences and multi-family townhomes.Create detailed drawings, production base plans, sections, and elevations in Revit.Develop and maintain detailed 3D models of residential projects. Create parametric families, detailed components, and custom elements in Revit.Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and other disciplines for seamless project execution.Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and other disciplines for seamless project execution.2. Interior Design:
Design interior spaces that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with client expectations.Select exterior and interior materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings in line with the project's style and budget.3. Project Manager:
Manage design phases from concept through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.Collaborate with the construction team to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the building process.Conduct site visits to review design-related issues.Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.4+ years of experience in architectural and interior design, with a focus on residential construction.High proficiency in Revit for architectural modeling, drafting, and visualization.Understanding of building codes, residential design standards, and construction practices.Excellent design portfolio showcasing residential projects and Revit skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledge of other design software (AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.Experience with sustainable design practices is a plus.Success Factors
