Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Improvement Manager with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification to lead and execute strategic process optimization initiatives across various functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence, preferably within a mortgage or financial services environment. Experience with a top consulting firm and/or relevant process improvement certifications are highly desirable, as this role demands expertise in improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing overall business performance.
This is NOT an IT project management position. Experience with executing non-IT process improvement projects across multiple business areas (Operations, HR, Finance, etc.) is required. The successful candidate must bring a strong Lean Six Sigma mindset, ensuring that process improvement objectives are met effectively and sustainably.
This role requires a self-starter who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and drive change. Strong decision-making skills, self-confidence, and the ability to take decisive action are key to success. A focus on execution over discussion, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and leadership capabilities are essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of process improvement initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.Apply Lean Six Sigma and process improvement tools such as DMAIC, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Error Proofing, Visual Management, and Poka-Yoke to drive efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, define objectives, and implement solutions that enhance productivity and quality.Conduct data-driven analysis to identify inefficiencies, waste, and bottlenecks, and implement sustainable improvements to reduce costs and cycle times.Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing solutions to address challenges.Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including senior management and team members.Facilitate regular improvement meetings, drive decision-making, and ensure alignment across departments to keep projects on track.Ensure compliance with Lean Six Sigma and process improvement best practices, methodologies, and standards.Foster a culture of continuous improvement by coaching and mentoring team members on Lean Six Sigma principles.Desired Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience leading and executing process improvement initiatives, ideally within a mortgage, financial services, or real estate environment.Experience working at a large consulting firm preferred, with a deep understanding of corporate process improvement frameworks.Demonstrated expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, such as Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, and DMAIC.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required. Additional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant process improvement certifications are highly preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required. MBA preferred.Independent worker who excels in driving organizational change and promoting continuous improvement.Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in data-driven decision-making and translating data into actionable insights.Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.High adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, evolving business environments.Education: College degree, preferredWork Environment
This is a hybrid position which requires in office reporting to Anchor's Thousand Oaks or Newport Beach office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Remote work is optional Monday and Friday.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $120,000 - $135,000/year, plus annual discretionary bonus based on performance of the individual and company.
