Water Resources Engineering Practice Leader
to grow, develop, support and enhance our scope of Water services work in a Doer-Seller role. The successful candidate will provide project management expertise, business development, client relationship management and coordination of key Water and Municipal services within the Florida Region. This role will be responsible for strategically growing business development efforts along with supporting technical aspects of water and municipal projects/operations for our Florida office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the develop and implementation of strategy for further development in the Water Group:Work with the Discipline Director to implement a plan for growth of the market in existing and new service areas, as well as new areas as highlighted in the annual business plan for the Market.Financial proficiency in establishing project related fees and aggressive revenue projections and profit margins is required.Ability to manage a team of professionals.Working closely with all disciplines to implement and manage projects that fall under the Water group and establish staffing needs, achievable project schedules and meet established deliverable timelines, and produce an excellent work product, all while ensuring client satisfaction with overall services.Assist where needed in the preparation of a detailed discipline plan and determine where the money is being spent [capital program] in the region. Where needed the plan should layout the overall strategy to grow and expand H2M services in the region, identify challenges, assign responsibilities and set goals and objectives.Work with the marketing team to produce materials pertinent to the market.Ensure the H2M standard procedures and processes are being utilized and maintained.Attend trade shows, client presentations and meetings, develop articles, blogs, social media, and press releases to help showcase H2M and the Water Group with a goal to promote H2M's presence in the market and region.Prepare/coordinate proposals in conjunction with the marketing and technical staff. Assist with "Go/No Go" decisions for responding to RFP's. Marshall the necessary resources on proposal opportunities which may involve developing a proposal strategy, writing portions of the proposal, and coordinating efforts of other technical writers to develop a winning proposal.Coordinate and communicate with staff to ensure project deadlines and client requirements are being met and provide technical leadership and oversight on the management of project. Work with other managers and water professionals to develop scope of work, budgets, and plans for water related work.Assist with the development efforts of the regional office's overall growth and development of the staff in the discipline.Develop a sense of team with the staff you work alongside and manager. This will typically involve spending a significant amount of time with the discipline staff getting to know them and their capabilities. May enlist key people within the firm to assist and drive important discipline related initiatives.Responsible for making sure we provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. Will respond to requests of others as needed and set up a communication protocol for existing and future clients to ensure their needs are met. This includes communication with department managers within the discipline.STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

When necessary, attends trade shows or other outside client related eventsRemains current on the use of computer software including MS Office Suite, CRM and other technical software as needed.Displays a team mentality by interacting with all levels of the firm, serves as a point of contact for all issues related to the market.Follows and adheres to the highest level of client service expectations, for both internal and external clients.Displays a positive "can do" attitude.Supports company standards at all times.Responsible for growing and developing the market.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required with 15+ years' experience in the business of consulting wastewater engineering for municipal, private, and public agency clients with the ability to maintain client relations and serve a large group of internal and external clients and lead a group of technical staff.Relevant knowledge of project management, design, construction, operations, and administration of water infrastructure is required. A strong technical background is required.Able to develop long-term, professional relationships with existing and potential clients including strong one-on-one client development and entertainment, where appropriate.Successful track record of performance for obtaining new clients and in creating new projects for existing clients.Licensed professional engineer
and able to gain reciprocity.PREFERRED SKILLS
Working knowledge of MS suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe preferred.Microsoft Outlook experience required.Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and lead a team.Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities when necessary to marshal proposals and project resources.Ability to communicate effectively with the marketplace and develop and give presentations to a group and one-on-one.Forecasting trends and tracking emerging technologies in solid waste management and municipal infrastructureExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the preparation of engineering design reports and studies, proposals for professional engineering services, public presentations, and project interviews using PowerPoint.Proficient public speaking skills are a necessity.Keeping abreast with local issues impacting the future of municipal services or overseeing a team with specific vision towards industry trends with the ability to promote the firm as a leader in the understanding of various types of local issuesA proficient grant writer is a plus in helping clients qualify for funding a project.Travel RequiredThe

for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 annually.
