SUMMARY
Join Mortenson as a key player in developing a robust talent pipeline through strategic partnerships. This role focuses on coordinating outreach efforts with trade schools, technical programs, veteran organizations, pre-apprenticeship programs, and other workforce entry points. You will be responsible for fostering and establishing these essential partnerships to attract top apprentices and build long-term relationships, ensuring the continued growth and success of the Mortenson Apprenticeship Program. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the future of our workforce by bringing in skilled, diverse talent aligned with Mortenson's values.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate Mortenson's relationships with external Pre-Apprenticeship programs
Build materials and oversee development and maintenance of partnerships with high schools, trade schools and technical organizations to generate new talent pools for Mortenson's apprenticeship program.
Support local community job readiness programs with access to pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship program. Ensure job readiness programs understand Mortenson's Team Member Value Proposition.
Partner with Operating Group leadership to understand future geographic apprenticeship needs to ensure appropriate partnerships are developed and maintained.
Research, develop strategies and communicate understanding of workforce development programs, in geographies we are exploring future projects.
Partner with operating group and craft recruiting teams to support apprenticeship recruiting in upcoming project areas
Develop marketing, communications and content for sharing information regarding Mortenson's apprenticeship program at relevant conferences and events (i.e. Skills USA)
Develop end to end event planning and represent Mortenson at all necessary conferences and outreach events.
Collaborate with project teams to develop apprentice selection and hiring processes.
Partner with Apprenticeship Program Manager and HR Coordinator on completion, tracking and storage of required outreach documentation
Assist with the administration of new team member and apprentice registration documents as needed
Develop process for ensuring Mortenson Apprentices have access to federal, state, and veteran grant opportunities.
Utilize effective presentation skills including development of materials to communicate Mortenson's value proposition to prospective partners.
Actively participate in subject matter review committees and other Workforce Development Organizations
Positively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds across the organization and partnering organizations
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
4+ years of workforce development experience, preference given to construction industry
Current driver's license
Understanding of workforce development
Experience working with primary partner organizations such as technical schools and/or veterans programs.
Advanced communication, presentation and training facilitation skills in construction
Basic computer and software skills (Microsoft applications)
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred
Ability to connect with and influence potential apprentices and other stakeholders
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Ability to travel up to 85%
