Job Description

Commercial Lines Insurance Assistant Account Manager

This position is responsible for providing administrative support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and maintaining excellent relationships between Clients, Customer Service Managers, producers and insurers.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in servicing, and be detail oriented according to agency procedures and standards. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain strong relationships with customers.Prepare review letters on an annual basis.Communicate changes or adjustments in policies to clients.Understanding of contracts, carrier products, coverage forms and underwriting guidelines.Knowledge and ability to work on multiple carrier rating programs.Process additional lines of coverage for current customers.Quoting for all lines of coverage to prospective customers.Remain informed regarding industry information, new product information, and continuing education.Take client calls and emails in order to provide customer service and address all questions and concerns of customers.Modify, update, and process existing policies for customers to reflect any change in insurance coverage and/or premiums.Follow-up on cancellation and billing issues.Complete forms such as Evidence of Insurance, Certificates, Applications, Auto ID Cards and Cancellation Forms.Correspond with insured or agent to obtain information or inform the account status or changes of customers.Maintain strong relationship with customers and insurance carriers.Solicit and process additional lines of coverage for existing clients. High school diploma or equivalent.Possess active Property & Casualty License or willing and able to obtain within first year.2 years Insurance Industry experience preferred. Computer SkillsComputer skills including Excel and Word.Working knowledge of Applied Epic is a plus.Comfortable navigating multiple carrier websites Other QualificationsStrong customer service skills including written and phone communication.Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects.Ability to function in a fast-pasted environment.Proactive in dealing with clients, carriers, Account Managers, and producers.An energetic self-starter, who works well in a highly automated, fast paced, team environment.
