LightFeather is currently seeking an Agile Subject Matter Expert (SME) to guide, coach, and enhance our Agile practices, ensuring alignment with our business goals and enhancing team performance. You will be responsible for advancing the adoption of Agile practices across teams, optimizing Agile processes, and ensuring that our organization consistently benefits from Agile methodologies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, coaching and mentoring Agile teams, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
This is a full time, hybrid position requiring candidates to be local to the DC Metro area.
Responsibilities:
Manage teams in Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks, to ensure effective delivery and alignment with business objectives.Drive the development and continuous improvement of Agile processes, tools, and best practices to support scalability and sustainability.Collaborate with senior leadership to align Agile practices with company strategy and foster an Agile mindset throughout the organization.Act as a change agent, championing Agile values and principles, and promoting a culture of openness, accountability, and collaboration.Develop and deliver training, workshops, and resources to increase Agile competency and ensure effective knowledge transfer across teams.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Agile practices, using metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.Support Agile program management and governance, ensuring Agile methodologies are integrated into the organization's operational framework.Foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and empowerment, encouraging teams to explore new approaches and experiment with Agile solutions.Establish best practices, standards, and methodologies within the team.Required Qualifications and Skills:
US Citizenship.Ability to obtain and maintain clearance at the Public Trust level or above. Active or prior clearance is preferred.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, IT, or related disciplines) or equivalent work experience.5+ years of experience in Agile roles, including coaching, mentoring, or leadership.Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).Proven experience in driving Agile transformations, with a track record of successfully coaching and guiding teams in Agile practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams at all levels.Preferred:
Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF, ICP-ENT) or similar certification.
