Job Description
MAXISIQ is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist with a strong background in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our mission to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement within the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) and its associated project offices. This is a full-time position on Fort Belvoir, VA with work anticipated in mid-December 2024 upon award.
Duties involved with this role:Recruitment and Staffing: Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, and facilitate conflict resolution and performance management discussions.Performance Management: Support the performance appraisal process by providing training and resources to managers and employees. Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans as needed.Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs. Assist in the design and delivery of training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate employee records and prepare reports related to HR metrics, including turnover rates, recruitment statistics, and training participation.Policy Development: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Ensure that all policies are communicated effectively to employees and are in line with organizational goals.Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and enrollment processes.Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace by supporting initiatives that foster a culture of respect and collaboration. Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts aimed at underrepresented groups.Qualifications
Clearance Requirement: Active or current Secret level clearance minimum
Education: Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in human resources, with a strong focus on recruitment, employee relations, and compliance administrative support experience, including
Technical Skills: Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is preferred.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions in a timely manner.Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Experience working in a government or defense-related environment is desired.Knowledge of military HR practices and regulations is desired.HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
