Summary:Duluth Public Schools is seeking an individual to provide custodial cleaning and minor facilities maintenance services in assigned building(s). To perform minor grounds maintenance including clearing snow from walkways and steps leading to assigned building(s). To assist in the set-up of rooms and other facilities for school and community events.
Minimum Qualifications :
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GEDSix months of experienceOr an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work.Knowledge Requirements :
Knowledge of cleaning standardsKnowledge of cleaning methodsKnowledge of cleaning chemicalsTime management knowledgeSkill Requirements :
Skilled in the use and care of floor cleaning equipmentSkilled in task prioritizationCertification or Licensing Requirements :
None for School Custodian ISpecial Class C Boilers License in the State of Minnesota for School Custodian IISecond Class C Boilers License in the State of Minnesota for School Custodian IIIAdditional Information:
Employees shall be paid an additional forty cents per hour for all hours worked between the hours of 5 pm and 6 am. In lieu of shift differential pay during their kunch period, custodians will recieve and extra 2.5 cents per hour that is included in their salary.In addition to rewarding career opportunities, Duluth Public Schools offers an excellent benefit package to employees who are hired into positions scheduled to work 24 hours/week or more.
