About the job Electrical Engineer Our client, a reputable MEP design engineering firm, specializes in delivering comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services to diverse industries. They are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role is integral in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The Electrical Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively, engaging with multi-disciplinary teams and clients to create high-quality electrical solutions that meet rigorous specifications.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and modify one-line drawings, panel schedules, schematics, and wiring termination drawingsConduct field walkdowns of client sites, equipment, and panelsTroubleshoot and resolve electrical equipment failuresEnsure safe electrical work practices and compliance with safety standardsGather data for arc-flash analysis and input data into Arc-Flash software to complete full studiesCoordinate effectively with utility companies to meet project needsSize conduits, cables for power distribution, data systems, and telecommunicationsCollaborate with clients, managers, contractors, and other team members productivelyReview contractor and vendor shop drawings and submittalsDevelop contractor scope of work and bid documentsQualificationsRequiredBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum of 2 years of electrical engineering experienceStrong expertise in Low-Voltage Power Distribution design and Arc-Flash AnalysisProficient in national electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, NFPA 110)Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)PreferredEngineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering (PE) licensure in Washington4+ years of electrical engineering experienceFamiliarity with local codes and standards (WSEC, WAC)Experience with SKM or ETAP softwareBackground in the pharmaceutical or biological sciences industryExperience managing contract resources and working with outside suppliersIf you are an experienced Electrical Engineer with a commitment to quality and a passion for technical excellence, we encourage you to apply.
