Must have: 1 year of M/S experience, ability to jump in and learn quicklyAdvanced skills needed: Thorough assessment skills, prioritization skills, critical thinking, and time managementProcedures performed on unit include: General Medical/Surgical procedures and patient population, post-catheterizations without intervention, lap appy/chole, thoracentesis/paracentesis, and moreSchedule Information
Scheduling requirements: At least one weekend within a 4-week period (may be split up), blocked scheduling case by caseFloating policy: Floating within unit’s discretionUnit Specific Information
Number of Beds: 54; 11 beds on a busy and dedicated ortho/spine unitPatient Ratios: 1:5-6 for RNs; 1:12-15 for PCTs; RN/LPN team would have 10 totalUnit staffing description: Unit secretaries until 8p during weekdays. Techs and Externs available. RN/LPN teamsPatient Experience requirements: At least 1 year of RN experienceAdditional Details
