About the Company:
COGS has partnered with a global, fortune 500 company specializing in Semi Conductor Manufacturing in their search for a talented Logistics Analyst to join their growing team.
About the Role:
As a Logistics Analyst, you'll play a key role in optimizing import/export logistics activities, managing physical distribution, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting supply chain services, inventory control, and analyzing data to meet department objectives working cross-functionally with Procurement, Sales, Accounting, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Shipping departments to drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Stay current with trade regulations and compliance requirements, including agency rules, executive orders, and court procedures, and assess their impact on products, equipment, and raw materials.Update and improve internal procedures based on changes in international trade laws, and communicate these changes to relevant personnel.Extract data from applicable systems to generate performance metrics, and identify opportunities for process improvements in partnership with internal teams.Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on import-export regulatory compliance, customs clearance, tariff classification, licensing, and related documentation.Liaise with purchasing and manufacturers to gather necessary documentation and ensure compliance with import requirements.Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to expedite clearance and delivery of goods.Audit import entries and export transactions for accuracy in clearance charges.Provide rate and transit time quotations, and maintain knowledge of 2010 and 2020 INCOTERMS.Track shipments, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery. Partner with external auditors to manage carrier invoice processing and resolve discrepancies.Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) software (Oracle) for order entry, error resolution, and data management.Assist with special projects and process documentation as required.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, with 8+ years of experience in international logistics, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or warehouse logistics.Deep knowledge of U.S. Government regulations, import-export compliance, and duty drawback.Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. ERP system experience (Oracle preferred).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of transportation modes and providers, and strong math skills for data analysis and reporting.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary range: $75,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
