The Driver, Bus (PT) will provide reliable transportation to students, visitors, staff and parents with safety and excellent guest service skills as top priorities.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for operating and maintaining transportation vehicles with a focus on safety and excellent guest service.Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and prepare trip reports as appropriate.Operate all vehicles in a safe mannerExcellent customer service skillsHeavy interaction with students, guest and visitorsServes as a positive role model while providing transportation servicesFollowing up on company policies in regards to discipline, school bus & vehicle safety and handling emergency situations.Familiar and able to comply with all applicable State and Federal DOT regulationsComplete routine paperwork such as Vehicle Inspection Reports and driver logsAbility to use equipment such as cell phones, 2-way radios and GPS devicesMaintain current license and DOT physicalKeep vehicle clean as needed, including interior/exterior cleaning and vacuumingFlexibility to operate vans, trams and buses as directed and operations dictateMust be flexible to operate any vehicle, clean vehicles and perform other tasks as the needs of the Transportation department require.During down times, and as directed by management, will perform other tasks such as cleaning vehicles, performing related errands, light office work and assisting with tasks in other departments outside of Transportation.Report to work daily in company uniformMust be certified in CPR and First Aid or be willing/able to obtain certification if required by IMG.Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codesOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to drive a variety of vehicles including vans, trams and busesAbility to read and interpret road signs in EnglishAbility to read, understand and comply with the rules and regulations of the State and Federal DOT.Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writingAbility to establish and maintain professional relationships with all students, parents, guests and staff.Ability to prepare concise records and reportsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordCPR and First Aid certificationHighly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projectsA superior work ethicDesire to work collaboratively with colleaguesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Skills
CDL driver's license a plusBilingual (English/Spanish)Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required#LI-RA1
