Strategic Sourcing Manager - Corporate Services

The Red Hat Procurement team has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to support Corporate Services (HR and professional services) in North America, and join our growing team. You will be responsible for engaging Red Hat stakeholders, supporting procurement strategies, leading strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, and managing strategic supplier relationships related to purchases for NA. Your success will be measured against business metrics including savings, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management, and supplier management. You’ll report directly to the Senior Manager of Global Procurement.
What you will do:
Partner with stakeholders and budget owners to support business requirements, determine appropriate spending strategies, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives
Establish preferred suppliers and ensure and proper policies are used and leveraged
Select supplier sources by driving competitive sourcing activities;
Manage activities related to sourcing, supplier evaluation, and business awards
Form contracts with selected suppliers to negotiate optimal terms and conditions
Establish consumption-based engagement models and operationalize negotiated contracts
Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related field
3+ years of strategic procurement experience (category management experience within Corporate, Professional and/or HR Services purchases a plus)
Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills;
Experience in developing and leading strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect spend categories
Strong analytical skills demonstrated in performing bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis, and scenario modeling
Complex problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions
Solid experience with contract negotiations at senior levels
Experience in building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers
Demonstrated influencing skills and the ability to gain agreement among a wide range of stakeholders
Experience leading multi-disciplined projects with minimal amount of supervision
Customer service oriented and ability to work well within a team
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
The salary range for this position is $83,840.00 - $134,150.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
