: Traditional work week includes combination of call and clinic with two twelve-hour shifts and two clinic days. Flexibility considered for CNM interested in call or clinic shift only.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 550+ provider multispecialty group practice that seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) who is committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and willing to support an established obstetrics & gynecologic practice as part of a growing women’s health program within a multi-specialty medical group framework.

Primary responsibilities include general midwifery management of the women’s health services patients in collaboration with the clinic’s Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB-GYN) physicians. This involves direct management of the patient including, but not limited to prenatal, postnatal and general birthing activities, as well as OB/Gyn exams, procedures and services. These will include routine obstetrical checks, annual and routine pelvic and abdominal exams, Pap tests, cervical cancer screenings, well-woman visits, same day sick, et al.

This Midwifery group also provides care for our International Maternity Care (Refugee group) which involves trauma informed care.

Requirements

:

Current, unrestricted Certified Nurse Midwife medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.

Experience in high risk obstetrics/trauma informed care preferred.

Support:

All Women's Health providers share phone triage after-hours via an answering service. Saint Alphonsus has 12 LDR maternity beds, post-partum suites and a Level II/III nursery and a neonatal intensive care unit is available for critically ill infants.
