TravelUnit Notes: Department: Radiology | Xray- Unit: Radiology - Ground Floor- General Certification Requirements: BLS- Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT- How many scanners/rooms does this department have: 6 Rooms, 5 in main department (2 stationary, 2 fluoro, 1 C-Arm) & 1 stationary room in ER.- Will they have to float/cover any other areas: No floating.- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Portables, fluoroscopy, OR, pediatric imaging, NICU, pediatric trauma.- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be competent in the OR and with the c-arm (7 c-arms constantly going) must be a 3 or 4 in proficiency on skills checklist. 1 year of experience, okay with first time travelers.- Average # of scans/studies per day: Dependent. 430 bed hospital. Variable on what type of work they are doing that day for the department OR vs ER/inpatient.- EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: PACS McKesson, ERM Epic Radiant.- Department Specific Equipment: Portables Carestream, C-Arms GE, 1 fluoro machine Philips, additional X-Ray stationary and fluoro units are Siemens.- Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift: We have 3 Radiology Supervisors working days, evenings, and weekends.- Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants): We work with 8 Radiology PA s.- Radiologist in-house: Yes 24/7.- Do they have to start IVs: No.- Shifts & Scheduling: 8, 10, and 12 hour shifts with variable start times- Start time and shift will be noted on request- Weekend Requirements: Dependent on shift offered, may take call.- Holiday Requirements: Dependent on shift offered and predetermined RTO.- Call or Standby requirement: Call for STAT fluoro cases. 30-minute response time. Call shifts are evenly distributed with all staff, generally 3-6 call shifts per month. Have a very low call back occurrence.- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs provided (light blue and light gray surgical scrubs.)- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Around 1 week of orientation to orient to floor, workflow, fluor, and OR.**This facility has a radius rule of 50 miles.
