International is looking for Tricentis Qtest Test Automation Engineer for their Digital Transformation Journey.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for test management activities of International applications which includes, estimation and analysis of manual test cases, automation of manual test cases, execution of manual and automated test cases / scenarios, working with application development teams, and the Quality Center of Excellence (QCOE) in coordination with your activities.
Responsibilities
Test Automation Development
Design and Implement Test Cases: Develop automated test scripts using Tricentis Tosca to ensure software quality and functionality.
Test Script Maintenance: Update and maintain existing test scripts to accommodate changes in the application or new features.
Test Planning and Strategy
Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine test strategies and plans based on project requirements and objectives.
Test Coverage Analysis: Analyze application requirements and design automated test cases to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Coordinate with the QCOE for peer review of test design strategy, automated test cases, and adoption/adherence of standards and best practices.
Perform/support unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing activities.
Test Execution and Monitoring
Run Automated Tests: Execute automated test scripts in various test environments and monitor their execution.
Analyze Test Results: Review and analyze test results to identify defects or areas of concern and provide detailed reports on test outcomes.
Reporting: Define / Develop test strategies, test plans, KPI’s, metrics, defect management and reporting
Integration and Continuous Improvement
Integration with CI/CD Pipelines: Integrate automated test scripts into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure regular testing and feedback.
Performance Optimization: Optimize test scripts and processes to enhance performance and reduce execution time.
Collaboration and Communication
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand application changes and requirements.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for test cases, test scripts, and automation processes.
Discussion with team members: Lead discussions and actively communicate with test lead, scrum master, project manager, business partners, and application developers for test management and test development activities.
Adopt and utilize the best practices and standard processes established by the QCOE for test management and test execution.
Problem-Solving and Debugging
Troubleshooting: Identify, analyze, and resolve issues or defects found during automated testing.
Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with the development team to address underlying issues.
Training and Support
Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and support to team members on Tricentis Tosca and best practices for test automation.
Mentoring: Mentor junior team members and help them develop their skills in test automation.
Tool Management
Tool Configuration: Configure and manage Tricentis Tosca and qTest tools to ensure optimal performance and integration.
Tool Upgrades: Stay up to date with the latest features and updates in Tricentis Tosca and qTest and apply them as necessary.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
At least 5 years of information systems/information technology experience
OR
Master’s degree
At least 3 years of information systems/information technology experience
OR
At least 7 years of information systems/information technology experience
Additional Requirements
Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT or Quality Assurance
Previous automation experience utilizing Tricentis
Experience with CICD Pipelines / Jenkins.
Good communication skills
Hybrid role working onsite in our Lisle, IL office 3 days per week
