Federal Reserve Bank of New York
FedLine® Solutions, Fedwire® Funds and Securities, the National Settlement Service (NSS), FedCash®1, FedACH®, Check Services, and the FedNow® Service. FRFS operates as a fully integrated organization with groups dedicated to operations, technology, product and industry engagement, enterprise services, and one focused on the ongoing growth and development of the FedNow instant payment service. Our strategy defines our future direction, seeking to offer a fully integrated product suite that provides speed, resilience, and choice in meeting the payments needs of financial institutions across the United States. Through our Enterprise structure, we strive to meet the needs of the marketplace for new products and services with speed and agility, seek to provide a robust and unified customer experience, and work to create career growth opportunities for FRFS staff.
We seek leaders to set the vision, strategy, values, and priorities that enable FRFS to achieve its mission. Our leaders must demonstrate a strategic, action-oriented mindset focused on intellectual curiosity, agility, accountability, and the ability to drive innovation through experimentation. To achieve our vision for a people-focused organization with a strong collaborative and innovative culture, we expect our leaders to champion an inclusive environment and demonstrate our values in how we work and interact with each other and our broader community.
What we do:
The Operations & Resiliency Group is responsible for providing banking services to the U.S. government, banks, and other financial institutions. The Wholesale Product Office (WPO) operates a critical financial services business on behalf of the Federal Reserve System (FRS). The WPO is responsible for the management, operation, support, and development of wholesale services (Fedwire Funds Service, Fedwire Securities Service and National Settlement Service), which includes developing new services, service enhancements, and pricing models, and ensuring the technology used to deliver the wholesale services is secure, resilient, and satisfies business requirements. Wholesale services are systemically important financial market infrastructures (FMIs) and are central in supporting settlement for other systemically important private-sector FMIs. Further, as a central bank-operated business, the wholesale services face unique challenges akin to a private-sector business but overlaid with a financial stability mission and an evolving supervisory landscape for systemically important FMIs. The WPO carries out its mission through a team operated out of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) and a network of critical Reserve Bank service providers.
The Applications Production Operations area is responsible for the 24/7 operation and administration of distributed payments systems supporting the WPO’s critical, high value, high availability Fedwire businesses. In addition, this team is responsible for ensuring that the Fedwire Funds, Fedwire Securities, National Settlement Service, and Account Balance Services applications are available according to their business requirements while providing premium customer service to the Federal Reserve System districts and other application users.
Acts as an established and productive individual contributor.
Works independently with general supervision
Faces problems that are difficult, but typically not complex
Influences others within their job area through explanation of facts, policies and practice
