Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Director of Automation to increase revenue for or our innovative packaging automation machinery in the SER (GA/AL primarily) territory. This role focuses on growing our presence by driving sales of capital equipment solutions for the packaging industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capital equipment sales, with specific expertise in packaging automation machinery.Key Responsibilities:Sales: Drive sales efforts across the assigned region to meet and exceed revenue goals for packaging automation machinery.Client Engagement: Develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their unique needs and positioning our automation solutions effectively.Business Development: Identify opportunities for growth within the territory, leveraging knowledge of the packaging industry and market trends.Solution Selling: Provide clients with tailored solutions by understanding the full scope of their packaging automation requirements, from project initiation to completion.Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that aligns with company objectives and drives sustained growth.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development and technical support, to ensure seamless delivery of customer-centric solutions.Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to keep abreast of industry developments and inform sales strategy.Qualifications:Experience: 5+ years in capital equipment sales, with at least 3 years in packaging automation.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of packaging automation machinery, including the technical aspects of capital equipment sales.Sales Acumen: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and effectively managing a regional sales territory.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex automation solutions in a clear, compelling way.Travel: Willingness to travel within the region as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.Preferred Skills:Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with key players and trends within the packaging industry.CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems for managing sales pipelines and customer relationships.Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive competitive advantage.
