JOB SUMMARY:
Nabors Industries is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personnel Resource Scheduler to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the scheduling of engineering personnel to ensure efficient project execution, adherence to deadlines, and alignment with company objectives. The Personnel Resource Scheduler will play a critical role in balancing workloads, managing resources, and supporting the operational needs of our engineering department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Resource Scheduling:
· Develop and maintain detailed schedules for engineering personnel based on project requirements, team availability, and workload.
· Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization and timely project completion.
· Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in project scope, personnel availability, and unforeseen issues.
Project Coordination:
· Collaborate with project managers and engineering leads to understand project timelines, resource needs, and potential bottlenecks.
· Track project progress and update schedules accordingly to reflect changes or delays.
· Facilitate communication between engineering teams to ensure alignment and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Data Management:
· Maintain accurate records of personnel assignments, project schedules, and resource utilization.
· Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, optimize processes, and recommend improvements.
· Generate and present reports on resource allocation, project status, and personnel performance.
Conflict Resolution:
· Address and resolve scheduling conflicts or resource shortages in a timely and effective manner.
· Implement contingency plans to mitigate the impact of personnel changes or project delays.
Stakeholder Communication:
· Serve as a point of contact for personnel scheduling inquiries and provide timely updates to engineering teams and project stakeholders.
· Coordinate with 3 rd party engineering organizations for scheduling external resource needs
Process Improvement:
· Evaluate existing scheduling processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
· Implement best practices and tools for scheduling and resource management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, or a related field. Or in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 7 years’ experience in scheduling, resource management, or project coordination within an engineering or industrial setting
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in scheduling, resource management, or project coordination, preferably within an engineering or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
