What We Need:
Brady is looking for a Senior Automation SQA Engineer to work with engineering teams to improve the quality of products being developed. The core purpose of this position is to execute the test effort on software development projects. You will be part of an engineering team designing and building embedded, desktop, web and mobile applications that will enable Brady to provide various solutions to our customers globally.
What You'll Be Doing:
Sharing knowledge with junior resources about our software and printer products.
Participating in Scrum team meetings and partnering with engineers to automate testing.
Building, creating, updating, and executing automated test suites to exercise growing feature sets and customer requirements.
Managing test environments.
Providing status updates to senior leadership on projects.
Communicating test coverage, risks, and defects to aid in decision-making.
Identifying, reporting, and verifying defects and risks.
Tracking issues from discovery through to resolution.
Learning to analyze and decompose software systems and assisting in the development of strategies to test the system at all levels of the application stack.
Mentoring junior testers in conducting root cause analysis of software and firmware defects.
Interfacing with product and development teams to address bugs, enhancements, and features.
Creating test strategies that will help accelerate product development.
Actively participating in design reviews and providing feedback on features and usability.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of SQA and Automated testing experience with software development projects.
Significant experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience using software testing tools, such as defect and test case management tools and automation tools like Selenium
Familiarity/experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, C#, Python and C/C++, JavaScript
Understanding of Test-Driven Development
Experience with various mobile test platforms (Android, iOS)
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all teams involved in projects
Ability to manage multiple high priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with automated SQA in desktop, web and mobile application development environments
