GE Vernova’s Gas Power business engineers advanced, efficient natural gas-powered technologies and services, along with decarbonization solutions that aim to help electrify a lower carbon future. As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

Job Summary:

The Training Program Manager develops wing-to-wing new strategies to train competent field service employees to support the business needs in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost in addition to customer satisfaction. Determines how a certain field role needs to be trained at a global level and interfaces with stakeholders across the business to achieve the technical objectives of the program within an optimized cycle time and cost. Leads complex projects from concept generation until sustainment and adoption into the regular training operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Create strategic direction of technical talent and performance requirements (including critical experiences, competency, and career progression models) that support high quality field execution, allow individuals to develop their careers while generating organizational growth

Leverage regional best practices to build a harmonized model for roles and standard work of training such roles

Leverage multi method path to acquire competencies in workforce (distance learning, in person, OJT, mentorship, certifications, work experience)

Identify and include Subject Matter Experts inputs in building the programs. Balance required versus optional steps. Prevent under-training and over-training

Corroborate closely with business functional and regional leaders as well as Training and Development Managers (TDM) on organization capability assessment to define gaps and path to fill such gaps

Review competency model and curricula, if existing, for the corresponding program. Create and/or improve as needed

Occasional group facilitation, training, and regular presentation to various organizational audiences.

Provide organizational development support for managing of change and implementing until sustainment within training and regional operations

Develop quantitative and qualitative metric tools to measure impact of program on effectiveness, engagement, and retention of field employees

Review/update programs with changes from the business needs and productivity advancements

Some travel required

Required Qualifications & Experience

:

Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent

8+ years of applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge

Technical Competency Management / Kahuna experience required

Experience working in power generation

Experience working in a global matrix organization

English proficiency required

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary range for this position is $86,900 to $143,300. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
