SUMMARY
The Regional Account Manager will plan, implement, and guide sales strategies and activities for Westlake Royal Stone Products to help achieve targets for growth and profitability. Provide effective coaching, development, and leadership to regional sales teams. In addition, this position will assist in exceeding the service expectations from key customers such as masons, builders, architects and distributors throughout the assigned sales region.
The position is for the PNW and Mountain region. Products include: All WRBP stone brands including Kindred and components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sales LeadershipProvide coaching, guidance, and leadership to sales reps to enable them to sell WRBP stone products and services in their assigned territory to achieve targets/quotas and their territory plan objectivesProvide input into and regional business plans objectives and assist in developing of territory plansEnsure territory plans are aligned with marketing and sales strategiesCollaborate with the national account team to maximize the synergies of the Stone and Roofing business.Assist sales reps with acquiring in-depth technical knowledge and product knowledge in order to effectively communicate and sell the value and benefits of manufactured stone veneer systemsAssist sales reps in resolving customer complaints in accordance with policyResponsible for recruiting, training, and developing sales personnel for assigned regionBusiness Management
Manage the region and territories to grow revenue and profitability, establish priorities, and allocate resources accordinglyDevelop regional business plans based on analysis of Stone strategic plan and sales rep territory plansProvide input and direction on customer targeting, customer profiling, and pricing.Be well versed in customers' business operations and their need for products, intangibles, personnel, and customersCollaborate in establishing customer solicitation and promotion programs in order to meet sales objectivesSupport sales reps in participating in local building and trade eventsBusiness Development Management
Develop intimate knowledge and understanding of customers' business, the key decision makers and understanding of Company's customers' business, the key decision makers and what drives their purchasing behaviorsIdentify opportunities to grow business in the assigned regionMaintain positive customer relations by visiting customers as required and reviewing product and servicing problemsImplement appropriate corrective actions according to established policies and procedures.Administration
On a timely basis, prepare and submit sales reports and forecastsEffectively utilize the CRM to develop a customer centric organizationIn conjunction with the Plant Manager and Supply Chain Management, control inventories and finished goods to optimize customer orders and assetsCoordinate with accounting personnel to keep customer accounts receivable currentOperate regional business with a given expense budgetary limitAll other duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in a functional sales role, previous management experience a plusAbility to form and develop high performance teams.Strong organization, communication and computer skills (MS office suite, specifically excel)Proven strategic, analytical and critical thinkingAbility to manage several projects simultaneouslyEffective and persuasive speaking and presentation skillsAbility to work with high level executives as well as support personnelDemonstrated record of success in sales through achievements and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentFosters strong relationships with individuals and teams alike and ensures that all reach their full potential while, importantly, influencing and achieving organizational goals.Shares his/her knowledge and experience to help the team make key business decisions.Gives the team reason to trust them as a leader with strong ability to inspire, influence and motivate.Ability to provide direction, support and coaching to others. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job will require 70% travel on average. Ability to be away from home for multiple nights per week and riding in automobiles for several hours per day is required. Insurability and valid US state driver's license is mandatory.
