Lead Orthodontic Assistant - TravelingFull Time POSITION OVERVIEW: The Lead Orthodontic Assistant will support doctors during treatment exams and all necessary functions. Lead RDAs are required to mentor, train and guide new and existing team members, as well as grow and challenge themselves.This position will be responsible for and do the following:Greet and prepare patients for dental careAssist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in any treatment of patientsExcellent communication skillsMust anticipate the orthodontist's needs and be prepared for the next stepsRemoval and placement of arch wiresTooth preparation prior to bondingAccurate computer chartingSterilization of chairs and instrumentsResponsible for oral hygiene instructionsPlacement and removal of bracketsTake panoramic and cephalometric x-rays as well as oral photographsUndertake lab tasks as instructed RequirementsEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum high school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of dental terminology and dental proceduresFamiliar with SterilizationFamiliar with OSHA guidelines and proceduresExperience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferredPrevious experience requiredBENEFITS OFFERED:Hep B Shot SeriesScrubsAdvancement OpportunitiesCompetitive CompensationHealth, Dental, Vision, 401KPTOLife InsuranceTraveling stipendMonday-Thursday Westlake Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics (Dr. Raymonds Office) (OTD Westlake Ortho)Our Company is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
