Summary:
This Central Supply Coordinator will oversee the inventory of medical supplies, dental supplies, and vaccines for all East Liberty Family Health Care Center sites. The CSC assumes the lead role in laboratory compliance. The CSC promotes efficiency and excellent stewardship of funds by eliminating waste and maintaining mirrored, organized patient care delivery systems at all sites.
Essential Duties
:
Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
Track inventory of medical and dental supplies at all clinical locations.Purchase supplies based on specific needs at each office and unbox/stock exam rooms as needed.Inspect dates and remove expired items from circulation in advance.Track inventory of vaccines at all clinical locations.Purchase vaccines from private vendors such as Sanofi Pasteur and Merck and state-provided vaccines.Inspect dates and remove expired vaccines from circulation in advance.Comply with all state regulations for VFC and be prepared for site visits from auditors.Comply with all aspects of laboratory compliance.Assume lead role for laboratory audit site visits.Train Charge Nurses to be back up for VFC and Laboratory functions for vacations and time off.Maintain knowledge of Emergency Preparedness for potential threats.Create organized systems for medical supplies and vaccines that promote efficiency, minimize loss, and reduce risk of medical errors.Complete annual training requirements through the VFC program.Educate front desk/non-medical staff on the proper procedures for receiving and notifying Central Supply Coordinator of vaccines and medical supplies.Work toward continuous quality improvement.Stay current with changing technology, including software and central supply programs.Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.Qualifications:
