Certifications: - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Basic Life Support (BCLS) - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Arterial Punctures - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for regular floating to designated locations, completed onsite Must-Have: - Ability and willingness to float to multiple hospitals - Capability of working every weekend and every holiday - Conscious sedation, IV start, telemetry, and ventilation skills - 2 supervisor references required Job Description: - Work effectively in various hospital settings requiring floating responsibilities.- Administer respiratory and neuro diagnostics with a focus on patient safety and best practices.- Ensure certifications are up-to-date prior to beginning the assignment.- Participate in a 12-hour orientation period.- Provide evidence-based respiratory care and interventions.- Administer conscious sedation and manage patients on ventilators as needed.- Start IVs and perform telemetry monitoring in line with hospital protocols.- Engage in continuous learning through non-billable modules expected to take 8-16 hours, completed pre-start. - Comply with facility requirements for immunizations, including mandatory flu vaccinations, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
