Director of Human ResourcesNumber of Direct Reports: 1Hire Type: Full-Time Permanent PositionStarting Salary Range: $165,000 - $180,000Position Description:Become the Director of Human Resources for an iconic organization! In this dynamic role, youll be responsible for overseeing recruitment, hiring and onboarding, employee development, employee/labor relations, coordinating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs, policy/contract interpretation, compensation administration, and legal compliance. Your role will be critical in ensuring that all HR functions run smoothly.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction and oversight to the HR department, fostering a high-performance cultureDevelop and implement comprehensive HR policies, procedures, and best practicesLead talent acquisition, retention, and development initiatives to attract and nurture top talentOversee employee relations, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environmentCollaborate with senior leadership across departments to align HR strategies with organizational goalsCoordinate employee benefits, compensation, and performance managementEnsure compliance with labor laws, rules, and regulations, including coordinating employee and manager trainingsDrive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to cultivate a diverse and inclusive workforceAnalyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvementServe as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related mattersEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field10+ years of progressive HR leadership and management experiencePHR or SPHR through HRCI/SHRM CertificationKnowledge of California and Federal employment laws, investigation skills, HR technical knowledge in EEO, FMLA, ADA, unemployment, and worker’s compensationStrong computer skills and experience with office management and communication software; experience with Dayforce systems and software is a plusRequired Skills/Attitudes:Proven track record of leading and managing HR teams and initiativesExceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsStrong analytical and decision-making abilitiesThorough knowledge of employment laws (California & National), regulations, and best practicesAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationProficiency in handling multiple work projects simultaneouslyCommitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaceCompensation:Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
