Overview
***Opening on 2nd shift, 3pm - 11pm, Monday - Friday***Under general supervision, operate electric overhead line crane to move product to and from racks and process through anodizing tanks. Check and maintain process tank concentrations for pH., temperature and other parameters to assure quality parts.
Responsibilities
Responsible for following all safety rules and reporting any safety violations to supervisor. When able correct the safety violation immediately.
Push and pull levers and depress controls to raise, lower and rotate racks and to raise and lower load line.Read, interpret and follow written and verbal instructions to apply specific finishes for aluminum.Coordinate workload with other associates, particularly supervision, to ensure an even flow of work through the anodizing line.Determine appropriate current to be used for each anodizing load and determine run time.Write ECR's to keep work instructions up to date and consistent.Plan work in advance to ensure that necessary racks, bars and other devices for handling parts through the anodizing process are available.Dispose of all empty chemical containers with the assistance of the waste treat personnel.Check and maintain anodizing tank concentrations for pH., temperature and other parameters, ensuring that standards are met for production of quality parts. Titrate and add chemicals as necessary. Plot run charts. Take corrective action when necessary.Inspect equipment for malfunction or defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions. Monitor process closely, alerting team leader to potential issues.While handling chemicals, wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain the PPE in conformance with OSHA standards.Perform quality inspections before loads are transferred to the next operation, to include, but not limited to Isoscope. Perform visual inspections.Document all work processed including quantity, cycle times, volts, amps and additional information requested on daily production sheets and processing sheets.Clean, maintain and lubricate equipment. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion to include required safety inspection check for hoists.Coordinate communication with next shift regarding work in process, special jobs, problem areas or other pertinent information to ensure continued smooth flow of work.May be required to switch shifts as needed to fill in for vacations, emergencies, workload, business conditions, etc.Maintain 6S standards.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to six months related experience and/or training in overhead crane operation procedures; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work effectively with tools and equipment such as small hand tools, line cranes, measuring tools and computers, and to safely and effectively handle chemicals.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and complete control charts.Possess basic computer skills to include data entry to move effectively from screen to screen entering and/or retrieving work order detail, part numbers, part counts, etc.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, advocating team concept and participative management style. Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities and individuals at various levels within and outside the organization.
