**Job Description:**
- Work with ICU and PCU population- Ensure competency in sterile field maintenance, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes- Complete SIMs Lab for skills validation; passing required- Engage in lifts, restraints, and wound care training- Work in a 4-bed ICU unit with a nurse ratio of 2:1- Utilize the Cerner EMR system for charting- Collaborate with charge nurses and available nurse aides- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules- Wear navy blue scrubs as the dress code- Operate tele and vent equipment- Coordinate with hospitalists, emergency doctors for emergencies, and intensivist rounds- Manage common ICU cases such as DKA, Hypotension, and patients requiring pressors, vents, and bipaps- Perform phlebotomy; as nurses are responsible for drawing all labs- Attend floor-specific orientations and may need to float to different units- Note the absence of a cath lab, MRI, or neuro services in the facility
