You Are:
You are
an experienced, strategic, and passionate Director of Cyber Security
Engineering. You possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity engineering
principles, frameworks, and best practices. You possess strong analytical
skills and a strategic mindset, enabling you to assess risks and develop
effective security measures. Your leadership abilities allow you to inspire and
guide your team while fostering collaboration across the organization. Your
communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to effectively articulate
technical concepts, vision, and direction to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading a diverse team of
security engineers focused on securing and building solutions using the
latest technologies to protect Synopsys in alignment with Cybersecurity
strategy.
Developing and implementing
comprehensive cybersecurity engineering strategies aligned with
organizational goals.
Driving our security
transformation, evaluating security controls, and identifying
opportunities to enhance the security posture, and building or managing
enterprise security capabilities effectively.
Managing IAM, Network
Security, Endpoint Security, Data Security, Email Security, and Mobile
Security engineering activities.
Identifying organization
priorities, technical objectives, and designing strategies encompassing
the entire Synopsys ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve
blockers.
Aligning with the security
architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement
security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with
business, technology, and threat drivers.
Delivering foundational and
strategic security engineering solutions and extending on-prem
capabilities into multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Collaborating closely with
other engineering teams, product managers, and business partners to
understand their requirements and provide secure cloud solutions to meet
the requirements.
Establishing and tracking key
performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of cybersecurity
initiatives.

What You'll Need:
University degree or
equivalent certified education and experience.
10+ years of experience in
managing Cybersecurity engineering functions.
Ability to draft project plans
for security service and technology deployments and coordinate with
stakeholders across the organization.
Working knowledge of Azure,
GCP, and AWS cloud providers and their capabilities.
Strong leadership and team
management skills, with a track record of leading strong engineering teams
and building an exceptional security engineering team.
Excellent communication and
collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with
multi-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills
and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Familiarity with industry
frameworks & regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA-HITECH,
Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR, Privacy Practices, ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF/800.53,
FedRamp, StteRamp, IEC 62443.
Relevant certifications such
as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC preferred.

cybersecurity engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding
of security principles and practices.
Demonstrated leadership
experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent communication and
collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various
stakeholders.
Strong analytical and
problem-solving abilities, with a focus on risk assessment and mitigation.

The
base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $198,000.00 -
$296,000.00. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus,
equity, and other discretionary bonuses. Synopsys offers comprehensive health,
wellness, and financial benefits as part of a of a competitive total rewards
package. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of
job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
