We are actively seeking a Traveling Superintendent with a proven successful track record and professional background in building storage facilities and multi-story commercial projects. This role is central to our operations, requiring a seasoned professional who excels in managing complex construction processes from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the self-storage sector and demonstrate a capacity to handle multiple commercial projects across varied locales.Key Responsibilities:Direct and oversee the construction lifecycle of commercial projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.Manage and supervise construction personnel and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project objectives.Perform thorough site inspections regularly to monitor compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and regulatory requirements.Develop and enforce detailed project timelines; manage daily site operations and coordinate efforts among all project stakeholders.Address on-site challenges and emergencies adeptly, adjusting plans swiftly to maintain project momentum.Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and specialists to align project execution with strategic goals.Draft and deliver comprehensive project reports, providing transparent updates to stakeholders on progress, challenges, and resolutions.Champion the enforcement of health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for all employees.Required Qualifications:At least 5 years of direct experience as a Traveling Superintendent, specifically with self-storage and large-scale commercial projects.Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing ground-up construction of multi-story commercial buildings.Strong project management capabilities, with a record of effectively managing multiple projects in diverse locations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with various stakeholders from workers to executives.Thorough understanding of construction practices, tools, and regulations, with a keen ability to interpret blueprints and technical documents.Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required by project demands.Educational background in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.Compensation and Benefits:Competitive salary range is commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holiday schedule.Robust 401(k) plan with a 6% employer match.Travel-related reimbursements including per diem, company credit card for expenses.Additional perks include a company-provided cell phone.Work Environment: This full-time position requires extensive travel, primarily conducted during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.Application Process: If you are passionate about construction and thrive in a dynamic, traveling role, we invite you to apply.
