Summary:
The Business and Cost Analytics team is part of Meta’s Infrastructure Supply Chain and Engineering organization. As a cost analyst your primary responsibility will be to partner closely with engineering and sourcing partners to build detailed should cost models, perform cost analysis, and support negotiations by identifying cost opportunities. Throughout all stages of the product life-cycle, cost analysts will bring in industry expertise to drive product cost optimization by working cross-functionally with Sourcing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance teams. The cost analysts also understand, analyze and define business requirements to build end-to-end processes and tools.

Supply Chain Cost Analyst Responsibilities:
Apply advanced cost management methodologies including target costing, equipment lifecycle TCO, benchmarking, should-cost, supplier cost breakdown, cost driver analysis, competitive bidding and NPV analysis – to support Sourcing Managers to help identify, achieve and validate cost savings.
Build robust, bottoms-up, should cost models for various hardware and data center equipment including, but not limited to, hardware racks, power devices, Printed Circuit Board assemblies, memory, switches, and data center equipment.
Partner with engineering to conduct manufacturing and test cycle time assessments/analysis and evaluate yield of manufacturing lines to improve efficiency, optimize costs and build Material Value Add cost models.
Understand key cost and market drivers of various commodities and use that understanding to identify and influence sourcing managers on optimal times to pre-purchase commodities.
Build comprehensive total cost of ownership models, conduct product lifecycle analysis and perform tradeoff analysis to help inform and influence key business decisions.
Identify actionable insights and provide summary of trends & observations through cost data interpretation, analysis and research. Partner with Sourcing Managers and suppliers to pull together datasets to facilitate this cost analysis and identify opportunities.
Build benchmarking data related to cost – historic, should-cost, competitive and market – and understand supplier costs, impact of design changes and cost/value drivers for the equipment and services involved.
Proactively identify process improvements and drive implementation to help make us a more efficient organization.
As required, through cross functional collaboration and partnership, effectively manage projects to deliver tangible and measurable results.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's in engineering, supply chain, sciences or similar technical field
5+ years’ experience of sourcing management or supply chain management with an emphasis on cost management
Experience in competitive analysis, building should cost, and deign to cost methodologies
Knowledge of manufacturing processes for various data center hardware components, consumer electronics and network hardware
Experience navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple work threads to maximize impact
