Job Description

Ensures safety, environmental and legal compliance throughout the plant & property; Organizes and supervises production, logistics, quality control and sales support in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the company; Provides detailed reports to plant management and supervisors, relative to productivity, quality, and safety performance, in order to ensure the meeting of organizational objectives Interacts with the Operations manager and other senior managers as required in the reporting of activities and challenges.

Ensures positive employee relations are maintained throughout the organization; Oversees any disciplinary actions required to maintain policy and regulatory compliance; Develops subordinate supervisory personnel to accomplish and maintain world class manufacturing and operational levels; Confers with internal and external customers to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area; Develops plans for the efficient use of materials, machinery, and employees.

Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the plant; Proposes any necessary capital expenditure and maintenance plans that will help to improve overall productivity, quality and safety; Monitors production costs relative to budgetary standards.

Develops and maintains manufacturing and shipping operations business plans to include all program requirements, Safety, Quality, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image; Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products; Provides input in the Purchasing policy, Quality policy, and Safety policy of the Company and implements those Company policies in his region.

Establishes production and shipping standards and develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered; Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs; Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.

Coordinates manufacturing, quality, safety and shipping activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment; Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays; Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports; Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives; Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.

Supervisory Responsibilities, manages subordinate supervisors who supervise other employees in Production, Logistics, and Quality Control. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university, plus a minimum of 10 years' experience as a Plant or Operations Manager in an industrial processing environment, such as in the manufacture of food, rubber, elastomers, cosmetics, chemicals, cement, or similar type of products.

Minimum of five to seven years directly-related experience in a Building Manufacturing environment, ideally paints and coatings.
