Help shape our company with innovative ideas around safety!TAPCO Benefits : Enjoy great benefits like vision, dental, health, but also take time for yourself with vacation time and paid holidays.Your schedule:1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 1:00 PM-11:30 PMPay:A shift differential in base rate when working 2nd shift!This position does not require regular weekend or holiday work and has voluntary overtime!What you will accomplish as a Material Handler:Operate pallet jack and other non-power equipmentCompares identifying information and counts weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other recordsUses computer to look up, and verify data related to incoming and outgoing ordersRetrieves products from warehouse locations and assembles customer ordersAssembles wooden or cardboard containers, or selects preassembled containers and inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective paddingAffixes shipping label on packages or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipmentAttaches identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containersUnpacks and examines incoming shipments, follows established procedures to reject damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper and supervisor to rectify damages and shortagesStocks items into proper locationsExamines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specificationsFollows all safety rules and 5S / Lean Manufacturing proceduresPerform other duties as assignedOperate different types of forklifts including stand-up, sit-down and order pickerUtilize RF scanners to pick inventory and product movementReceive off packing slips and help stock both our warehouses.Maintain shipping, receiving and inventory records through proper documentationMaintain organization and warehouse cleanlinessResponsible for all warehouse safety protocols including, but not limited to utilizing PPE and performing safety checks on all powered equipmentPosition Qualifications:Ability to transition from working independently to working in a team environmentA consistent work historyHigh School diploma or equivalent preferredExperience using basic computer skills preferredAbout Us:At TAPCO, our mission is to enhance transportation and personal safety in our communities through innovative solutions and products.
