Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior-Level Virtualization Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge, skillsets, and experience with enterprise-level virtualization, designing, implementing, and sustaining converged infrastructure enterprise datacenter solutions. This role requires expertise in utilizing a mix of virtualization technologies from industry partners, including but not limited to VMware, Nutanix, Dell EMC, and/or Cisco. The candidate must have up-to-date experience with vSphere, vCenter, App Volume Manager, VDI, and Horizon, and must hold an active certification in VMware Data Center Virtualization, VMware Cloud Management and Automation, or Nutanix Certified Associate or higher-level certification.
Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level virtualization solutions. Sustain and modernize converged infrastructure enterprise datacenter solutions. Utilize a mix of virtualization technologies from industry partners such as VMware, Nutanix, Dell EMC, and Cisco. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and experience with vSphere, vCenter, App Volume Manager, VDI, and Horizon. Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of virtualization environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise datacenter operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtualization infrastructure. Maintain and update documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures. Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures. Qualifications:
Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A minimum of eight (8) years' experience as an IT Systems Engineer (SE) with documented experience supporting SE Processes and associated Technical Processes which include: Requirements Tradeoff, Architecture Design, Cost Estimation, Technical Assessments, Technical Planning, Configuration Control Boards, Capabilities Based Assessments, Integrated Baseline Review, Lifecycle Sustainment Planning, Information Assurance/Cybersecurity, Requirements Traceability, Statement of Objectives or Work, Systems Engineering Plan, Work Breakdown Structure, and Technical Audits. A Master's degree in any engineering discipline or Computer Science may be substituted for five (5) years of SE experience. A Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline or Computer Science may be substituted for three (3) years of SE experience. Project Management skills with a minimum of two (2) years of monitoring, managing, and assessing progress of complex IT projects. A minimum of one (1) year of documented training or experience relevant to designing, deploying, and maintaining systems and capabilities that comply with DoD cybersecurity policies and regulations. Major driving policies include DoD 8500 series Directives and Instructions (Cybersecurity / Information Assurance / DoD Information Assurance Page 7 of 15 Certification and Accreditations Process / Risk Management Framework), DoD 8100 series Directives (Cyber Workforce), and CNSSI 1253 (Security Controls for National Security Systems). In lieu of specific DoD cybersecurity policies and regulations, candidate can articulate training and experience with relative Commercial / Industry level cybersecurity policies and regulations. Proven experience in enterprise-level virtualization, designing, implementing, and sustaining converged infrastructure enterprise datacenter solutions. Expertise in virtualization technologies from industry partners such as VMware, Nutanix, Dell EMC, and Cisco. Up-to-date experience with vSphere, vCenter, App Volume Manager, VDI, and Horizon. Pay Range:
$120,000 - $160,000 per year
