We are in search of a dynamic leader to spearhead our data management team, ensuring the integrity of our refinish color data while providing outstanding customer service to our Automotive Refinish clients. As the Technical Manager, Global Refinish Color Data you will, oversee various aspects of data management, including maintaining color databases, coordinating color matching projects, and collaborating with key stakeholders globally. Reporting to the Cleveland Color Lab Manager and working with regional lab managers in a matrix structure, you will have the opportunity to influence strategies, drive efficiency improvements, and contribute to our mission of excellence in color services. In addition, you will be driving color data management across different business units becoming subject matter expert for cross business color data management. Key Responsibilities Lead the data management team, ensuring the integrity of refinish color data, optimizing workflow within USCA color labs, and providing exceptional customer service to Automotive Refinish clients. Manage and oversee customer service requests in the color lab, ensuring timely and accurate responses. Provide data analytical expertise to all regions, including leading monthly meetings for extract processes in the USCA and Latin America regions. Establish and maintain direct contacts with key motor manufacturers to collect color information, supporting the maintenance of a robust color database. Collaborate with counterparts in other regions, particularly in Asia, to secure color information and provide leadership. Analyze, manage, and enhance the flow of data into the GRID database. Lead the administration function for gathering color and model information from key motor manufacturers, updating the Global Refinish Database and managing the Global Color Information SharePoint site. Ensure sustained entry of formula and reflectance/image data into GRID for maintaining data integrity. Define, set up, and manage color matching projects to support regional and global color matching plans. Manage data for monthly GRID extracts in USCA, Latin America, and South America regions. Coordinate with the Color Science team to influence strategies for enhancing color lab efficiency. Manage and coordinate customer service requests within the Color Lab, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Data Management, Information Systems, Color Science, or a related discipline. At least 3-5 years of experience in data management, color lab operations, or a related field within the automotive or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with a strong understanding of database management systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of automotive refinish paint systems and color matching processes is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. This job posting may have multiple locations listed.
