Our Texas-based environmental consulting practice is seeking an Environmental Project Manager with a biology or wetlands background to join our rapidly-growing team.
The successful candidate would leverage their regulatory expertise and management experience to lead diverse projects for clients in renewable energy, water, and infrastructure. The candidate would be given immediate opportunities to serve clients while partnering with and learning from highly talented biologists, archaeologists, geospatial experts, and project management peers.
Our local headquarters is in Austin, TX and we have teams in San Antonio and Houston, as well as colleagues across the state of Texas and beyond. Due to the location of field work and the value of understanding local species and regulations, Texas-based candidates are strongly preferred.

What you will be doing:
Manage projects involving a wide range of technical field studies, analyses, and regulatory and permitting tasks
Prepare proposals and support marketing efforts for energy, water, or infrastructure clients
Provide senior-level expertise and technical guidance on complex projects involving Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, federal and state laws, and agency consultations
Provide leadership to wildlife biologists and wetland scientists and help to mentor, train, and guide junior and mid-level staff
Lead and/or perform field work, including plant and wildlife habitat assessments/surveys, wetland delineations and functional assessments, preparing technical reports, USACE 404/1O permit applications, and mitigation plans
What you need to have (minimum qualifications):
BS in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
10+ years of experience in environmental consulting or applicable fields (government, consulting, academia)
What we would like you to have (preferred qualifications):
Experience managing or conducting studies for renewable energy, water, and/or infrastructure clients, overseeing technical studies and providing regulatory guidance.
Experience working with resource agencies and developing complex environmental and regulatory strategies.
Strong knowledge of environmental consulting practices and environmental laws.
Experience working with clients and common project management tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train teams of technical specialists.
Ability to present clear solutions to complex problems to clients and regulators.
Business-minded with an eye towards client engagement and market growth.
Technical writing skills and ability to review, QA/QC, and provide feedback to technical staff

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$84,533.00 - $143,706.00
