This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary:

This key Management role is charged with leading and developing all operational staff, while encompassing the highest of ADM standards in the following areas: Safety, Quality, Grain Handling, Milling, Packaging, Bulk Finished Product operations. Exemplify professional operational standard to exceed both external and internal customer expectation. Surpassing operational standard by leading and developing staff, dedicated up keep of process equipment and systems, nurture excellent interdepartmental and commercial relationships in agreement with ADM Milling standards. Train and develop process staff, optimize yields, moistures, capacity and product quality in agreement with budgetary parameters. Set, maintain and facilitate the execution of KPI’s, CAPA’s and plant measures ensuring plant wide awareness and engagement. Oversight of capital expenditures to be completed within scope, on time and budget. Maintain records established within ADM policies and procedures. Assist external departments as business needs arise. Follow the Management Operating System to achieve established goals for all production related performance indicators.

The Plant Manager supervises approximately 10 supervisors while indirectly guiding over 60 hourly staff. Reporting to the regional manager this position is to dedicatedly set plant goals and vision in accordance with ADM Milling’s Strategic vision. The Plant Manager will base all decisions, perform acts and personify self in the best interest on the company. Demonstrate strong ability to clearly organize information and convey it in an efficient communication style at multiple levels. Actively seek to support cross functional teams to best meet the needs of the company, region and plant.

Job Responsibilities:

Production:

Lead Three flour milling units, (15,500 cwt.) Coordinate production schedules of all department and products.

Support and Execute the vision of Regional and Corporate Management.

Dedicatedly lead and support operational excellence initiatives such as Maximo, VBS, and QIT.

Utilize production personnel and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to obtain maximum capacity and performance with optimum yields and quality product

Plan, initiate and put into operation, plant capital improvements timely and on budget Champion Plant wide SOPs program

Health, Safety & Environmental:

Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety laws, regulations, rules and sound practices

Work with location management on the continued development and implementation of Health & Safety programs, policies and procedures

Coordinate and actively participate in audits, prioritizing and tracking completion of findings

Ensure that unsafe behavior and conditions are corrected Incident investigation (root cause analysis), incident trends and related preventative measures

Maintain the necessary Health, Safety & Environmental records and documentation

Perform Safety audits and set the example for safety

Sanitation/Food Safety:

Ensure the facility maintains world-class sanitation standards

Communicate food safety/sanitation/quality programs to plant supervisors and hourly employees

Prepare the facility for, and participate in, regulatory/third party/customer/company audits

Job Requirements:

Strongly prefer degree in a related field of Engineering, Milling Science and or minimum of 10 years industry experience

Require excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Confident and courteous manner

Established leadership skills

Strong dedication to employee safety

Must be able to hear and speak clearly, read, comprehend and communicate orally and in writing.
