Job Overview:The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans and implements Occupational Therapy treatment in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.Qualifications:Required:Must meet basic professional entry-level educational requirements from an accredited occupational therapy program.Valid NJ LicensureBLS through the American Heart AssociationComputer-literate.Successful completion of all required orientation programs.Scheduling Requirements:Day ShiftPer Diem Scheduling (Weekends are required)Essential Functions:Determines the plan of care and the prognosis, predicting the optimal level of improvement in function and the amount of time needed to reach that levelEducates others (patients/ residents, family, caregivers, staff, students, other health care providers) using relevant and effective teaching methodsEvaluates findings, considers current level of impairments and probability of prolonged impairment, functional limitations and disabilitiesPerforms administrative tasks including documentation, billing and scheduling to support the patient, minimizes errors and maximizes qualityCoordinates and collaborates with health care team to provide the highest quality service possible.Provides skilled interventions, maximizing the patient s outcomes by successfully anticipating patient s response to care providedChoosing RWJBarnabas Health!RWJBarnabas Health is the premier health care destination providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner, while delivering a best-in-class work experience to every member of the team.
