.Responsibilities
The Experiential Learning Coordinator oversees the program, schedules activities, works with community resources, evaluates new opportunities on an ongoing basis, and facilitates activities that seek to engage, challenge, and enact change through experience while maintaining physical and emotional safety for clients.
Essential Duties:Facilitate varied adventure experience activities in a way that maintains safety for clients.Facilitate process group sessions to help clients connect the activity to their life experiences.Coordinate with off-site vendors as needed to set up activities.Interact with milieu and encourage participation in activities.Encourage proper care and usage of equipment and facilities and establish and adhere to a regular schedule of inspection of all adventure programming equipment and facilities to ensure safety.Conduct ongoing review and evaluation of the adventure program, including feedback from clinical stakeholders and clients, and make appropriate changes.Complete documentation timely and according to established standards.Communicate with clinicians and direct care staff as needed.Facilitate on-site and off-site Experiential activities with clients.Qualifications
