The Glen, a premier Senior Living Community, is seeking an experienced housekeeper to work full time in our community. Prior experience is preferred.

SHIFT 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs housekeeping and cleaning and laundry services for residents and in common areas.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Must be people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Computer skills appropriate to job tasks
Able to read and write
Must be able to perform flexible work assignments and tasks
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Follow assigned cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) as outlined for housekeeping department.
Cleans assigned common areas.
Cleans floors: dry mops, wet mops, sweeps, scrubs
Cleans movable and stationary furnishing and fixtures.
Dusts, spot cleans or washes, disinfects, when necessary, polishes where required. This includes the cleaning of baseboards, windowsills, ledges, shelves, vents, ceiling fans etc.
Empties, cleans and re-lines waste baskets.
Straightens or rearranges furniture in an orderly fashion as directed in assigned common areas.
Inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor.
Cleans entrances, exits.
Cleans bathrooms (resident, private, public): Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors and walls as directed. Washes mirrors and windows. Replenishes public bathroom supplies.
Cleans walls, windows, doors and ceilings. Spot cleans between washing, disinfects when necessary. Walls and ceiling fixtures are cleaned as scheduled.
Cleans all horizontal surfaces daily or as required, removing dust, dirt or greasy film, using disinfectants where necessary.
Performs make-ready cleaning duties according to established procedure.
Removes and disposes of trash.
Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctioning to Supervisor.
Reports supply and equipment needs to Supervisor for replenishing.
Maintains equipment used in performing duties.
Long Term Health Care
Cleans assigned areas daily: Resident Rooms, bathrooms, common household areas including public restrooms and offices, living areas and household spas.
Cleans and disinfects resident beds and over bed tables.
Cleans household beauty shop.
Maintains lamps in assigned households, change bulbs and make sure lamps are plugged in.
IL/Assisted Living
Provides laundry and housekeeping services for Independent Living and ARCP residents
Independent Living
Provides individual apartment cleaning on a biweekly schedule, including laundry and replacing bed linens and cleaning patio door inside the apartment. The balcony will be cleaned annually by grounds team.
Performs make ready cleaning duties according to established procedures in resident’s apartments after vacated
Other related projects, duties and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.
