Company Managing Dietitian – Personal Touch Food Service
$60,000 - $65,000 / Year
What You'll Do:
As the Corporate Managing Dietitian at Personal Touch Food Service, you'll play a key role in shaping the nutrition and health standards of menus served across both public and private schools residential accounts. You'll work closely with managers, chefs, and the PTFS team to ensure that every meal promotes wellness, meets dietary needs, and is crafted with care.
Key responsibilities:
Review and update the diversity and health of menus on a monthly or as-needed basis.
Develop cycle menus tailored to the needs of specific populations.
Support managers with nutrition, health, and wellness education, while ensuring healthy options are implemented on menus.
Conduct nutrient analysis using Food Processor to determine healthy menu choices.
Establish and evaluate parameters for what constitutes a "healthy option" on menus.
Lead and enforce the organization's nutrition policy.
Promote nutrition education through PTFS Wellness Boards, digital platforms (Nutrislice), and promotional events.
Deliver educational presentations to diverse groups, ranging from children to the elderly.
Organize engaging food demonstrations to support nutritional education.
Consult with customers to ensure dietary needs are met and align with menu offerings.
Collaborate with chefs, cooks, and managers to create standardized recipes.
Oversee and manage digital menu data, including ingredients, allergens, special dietary keys, and item descriptions.
Who You Are:You are detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse groups, and have a passion for nutrition and wellness.
Requirements:
Education/Certification: Preferred Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with Commission on Dietetic Registration and/or Licensed Nutritionist (LDN) or Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN), as required per state regulations.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a food service or healthcare setting, with experience in menu planning and nutrient analysis.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with nutrient analysis software (such as Food Processor) and digital menu platforms (such as Nutrislice). Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other computer programs.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to educate and present to diverse populations (children, teenagers, adults, and elderly).
Additional Skills: Experience developing and standardizing recipes, familiarity with allergens and special dietary requirements, and managing digital menu data.
Travel: Ability to travel within an assigned area
