Overview:

Norfolk Southern is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Brand Communications Specialist to support the Assistant Director Creative + Brand in the execution and reporting of paid media campaigns. This role is essential in enhancing brand recognition and driving business growth through effective marketing strategies and always-on activations.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Development and Execution:

Supports the Assistant Director in the development and implementation of paid media campaigns across various platforms.

Leads the creation and optimization of individual ads, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and objectives.

Support the management of always-on activations, such as paid search, monitoring performance and making recommendations for improvement.

Assists with email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, deadline monitoring, and performance tracking.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Monitor campaign performance metrics, utilizing marketing analytics tools to generate reports and insights.

Provide regular updates on campaign effectiveness, highlighting successes and areas for optimization.

Brand Support and Strategy:

Contribute to brand strategy discussions by providing insights based on market research and competitive analysis.

Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including our skilled creative team, to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment of assets and goals.

Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh ideas and creative solutions for campaigns.

Develop presentations, creative campaign overviews, performance recaps, and other materials for internal meetings.

Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience in brand communications, digital marketing, or related fields.

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, communications, or related field.

Familiarity with digital marketing channels and tools, including SEM, SEO, and social media advertising.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative mindset.

Experience leading campaigns, project management, or multifunctional teams.

Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems is a plus.
