Our client, an apparel brand, is looking for an HR Generalist to join their team!MUST be fluent in Spanish!Location-ONSITE IN CHATSWORTH (NON NEGOTIABLE)Salary- Up to $85K DOEThe HR Generalist plays a crucial role in our team, offering essential support to both the human resources department and the organization at large. This position is dynamic and multifaceted, involving responsibilities such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, workers' compensation administration, and compliance. A key duty of the HR Generalist is overseeing the timekeeping process for permanent and temporary agency staff, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. Additionally, the HR Generalist manages the timely submission of supporting information to the accounting department for payroll processing. They also play a pivotal role in benefits administration, collaborating closely with employees to facilitate enrollment, changes, and inquiries regarding their benefits packages.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage HRIS for accurate employee data, including personal details, job specifics, compensation, and benefits enrollment. Maintain precise employee records, including personnel files, benefits, and performance evaluations. Aid in HR policy and procedure development and implementation.Payroll and Timekeeping REQUIRED

- Submit supporting payroll information to accounting, ensuring compliance with labor laws. Assist in efficient and accurate timekeeping processes, maintaining attendance records and promptly addressing discrepancies.Benefits Administration - Assist in managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Assist with benefits inquiries and enrollment and workers' compensation administration. Collaborate with brokers to resolve issues for effective administration.Recruitment and Onboarding

- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Source, screen, and interview candidates for various positions within the organization. Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, paperwork, and HRIS setup.Employee Relations

- Foster a constructive workplace atmosphere by implementing employee engagement programs and enhancing communication channels. Respond promptly and confidentially to employee concerns and grievances.Training and Development - Collaborate in identifying organizational training requirements and facilitate engaging training sessions, evaluate effectiveness, and provide ongoing support.Compliance and Legal

- Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and regulations to guarantee compliance. Support audits and investigations concerning HR practices and policies, including annual reporting requirements. Collaborate with legal counsel as necessary to manage HR-related legal matters.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:4+ years of experience in Human Resources, with hands-on involvement in HR functions such as payroll & timekeeping, benefits administration, recruiting, and other related areas.The ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is essential to effectively support our diverse workforce.Proficiency in HRIS software (ADP WFN) and Google Docs or Microsoft Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.Collaborative team player with the capability to work independently when needed, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential informationProactive and solution-oriented mindset.Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Team player with a collaborative approach to work.EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
