Head of Quality Assurance

Our client, a sixth-generation, family-owned premier beef importer, is launching a new facility in Missouri. They are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to lead the start-up of food safety operations, establish quality assurance systems, and build a QA team. Once the facility is operational, the selected candidate will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining BRC certification. This hands-on leader will develop SOPs, HACCP plans, and comprehensive food safety programs, while driving continuous improvement, training, and cross-functional collaboration.Role Responsibilities:Leading the development of all food safety programs, including HACCP and GFSI programs.Writing SOPs, implementing testing protocols, and overseeing food safety initiatives.Training and educating the team on food safety and compliance.Managing audits and working with regulatory agencies like USDA and FDA to ensure full compliance.What We're Looking For:10+ years of experience in food safety and quality, particularly in a USDA-regulated environment.Hands-on experience with plant start-ups and program development.Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Experience with regulatory bodies and certifications like HACCP, GFSI, and SQF.If this sounds like a role that matches your expertise, I'd love to connect further and discuss the details.
