The individual is responsible for overseeing and guiding three disease state area programs and five field medical teams, ensuring their alignment with the organization's strategic goals across both diagnostics and therapeutics. This pivotal role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical science, clinical practice, and the business of the pharmaceutical industry to translate complex strategy into action for the field teams and to contribute significantly to the organizational goals. The director will lead efforts in developing and executing national strategies, fostering collaboration between medical teams and other departments, and driving excellence in field medical activities. By acting as a key liaison between the field teams and senior leadership, this role ensures that the medical strategy is effectively communicated and implemented, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes and advancing the organization's mission in the healthcare landscape.Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Lead a growing US-based field medical organization across diagnostics and therapeutics in the nuclear medicine space.Serve as the Field Medical representative on the Medical Affairs Leadership Team, actively contributing to strategic decision-making, driving the integration of field insights into organizational objectives and creating awareness of Field Medical activity outcomes.Create, communicate and execute the national vision for the Field Medical organization to support achievement of the R &D, medical affairs and corporate business objectives.Recruit, mentor, and lead Regional Field Medical Directors, providing strategic guidance to elevate MSL engagement, cultivate robust relationships with key thought leaders, and establish a world-class organization.Approve the field plans developed by each team to ensure each region will deliver medical affairs support in alignment with brand medical strategies and the needs of external stakeholders.Ensure consistency and high standards across regional teams through development of KPIs and reporting methodology.Monitor and evaluate field medical performance, addressing any challenges and ensuring alignment with industry standards.Communicate with cross-functional leaders to understand needs and to demonstrate the value outcome of field medical activities.Manage budgets and resources for field medical activities including reporting on monthly spend and developing the annual needs assessment.Lead and implement effective performance management for all direct reports and ensure all performance management is effective for the field medical team.Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders to support field medical initiatives and product understanding.Ensure all field medical activities are compliant with all internal and external industry, legal and regulatory guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) in a related discipline strongly preferred with a minimum of 10 years of experience.At least 8 years of previous Field Medical or Medical Affairs leadership experience in the US pharmaceutical industry.Clear understanding of regional and national medical practice, clinical decision-making and healthcare systems affecting patient care.Excellent written and oral communications, interpersonal skills and a proven record of success leading a field-based team.Excellent time management skills.Strong decision-making capabilities and a willingness to work independently on issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of different factors.Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization.Flexibility to effectively adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and responsibilities.Ability to interact, present, and influence various internal and external audiences, e.g. program teams, Board of Directors, investors, Executive Leadership Team and KOLs.

Travel:This position is site based (ON-SITE) in Bedford, MATravel may be required up to 50 % of your time.
