Expected salary range of $97,200 to $108,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

The State and Local Property Tax Senior Analyst (“SALT Senior”) supports the property tax compliance function and assists with property tax planning for Constellation’s companies. The property tax compliance function includes accounting support, forecasting, property tax filings and payments. The Property Tax team utilizes a third-party compliance service provider to accomplish property tax compliance tasks. The property tax planning function includes, but is not limited to, property tax negotiations, the identification and implementation of property tax planning opportunities, due diligence support, identification and mitigation of risks, and audit management. The SALT Senior will support the Property Tax manager on various projects, due diligence, appeals, negotiations, and research.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

Support property tax manager on litigation matters and with negotiations of property tax agreements. Responsibilities include creation of various scenarios and research.

Support property tax compliance function to ensure all property tax compliance requirements are timely met. Responsibilities include working with third-party compliance service provider to resolve issues involving missing tax payments, tax bills and notices. Supports provider’s information data requests, the property tax payment process, and reviews tax returns.

Assist in identifying property tax planning risks and opportunities, support and assistance in implementation of planning ideas.

Support due diligence and various transaction support associated with property tax. Research various taxing jurisdictions’ property tax laws and tax rates.

Support various business partners including, but not limited to, legal, accounting, finance, business operations, government affairs, and regulatory teams by providing property tax data.

Manage all internal and external information requests related to property tax matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, or related field.

At least five years of property tax compliance, consulting, and planning experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, property tax designation or other professional certification.

PTMS or personal property tax software experience and understanding a plus.

Coursework in Appraisal desired.

Big-4 experience preferred.
